Pros: Cheap, comfortable, Good-sounding entry-level stereo phones
Cons: No volume control, Cable a bit too short for PC use.
The Bottom Line: This is a good quality, general purpose effort from Koss. I would recommend this product for low-end Walkmans and MP3 players only.

| st_hannes's Full Review: Koss HP1 Headset |
I bought this unit to do a dual-job. One, which is for listening to MP3s in from my PC.
The other was to replace a battered lateral-firing Sony headphones for my Walkman.
The unit looks sleek with its retro 70's look which was what attracted me to it. With a chrome headband and black plastic casing and black foam earpiece, it matches perfectly with my graphite-black Walkman unit.
The sound is good for high-range frequencies, but when I switched on the MegaBass function of my personal stereo, the headphones suffered to cope with low (below 50 Hz)ranges. I then realized that the frequency response of this device is 100-16k Hz. No wonder!!
I also used the phones when watching movies on my PC late at night. The first thing I noticed was that the cord was too short to connect from my CPU unit at the base of my computer table, going around the back and up beside my keyboard to my ears. Therefore I had to move my CPU unit so that it stood right beside the monitor. That, and also I couldn't actually stretch my neck too far because it would yank right back!
The sound quality is passable, but the best thing was that the earpiece is very comfortable for long listening durations. It is also great with MP3s as long as you are not into earth-shaking bass tunes.
