Kristline Skewers: The best shish kabob skewers I know of.

Pros:Sharp, durable, easy to use, holds food securely
Cons:Can be hard to handle while grilling.
The Bottom Line: My favorite skewers to use on my grills.

These are not your basic skewers. They are v-shaped stainless steel skewers. Normal round skewers have a tendency to rotate while cooking which results in the food being cooked unevenly. Because of the v-shape they hold onto food more easily and decrease the chance that food will twist while moving the skewer.

The point is very sharp. This means that it easily pierces meat and dense vegetables with little effort. The points on mine haven’t needed sharpening even after 4 years of ownership.

Cleaning
These are stainless steel and are therefore real easy to clean. Just wipe it down with a soapy sponge and wash it off. But I usually use my dishwasher and the dishwasher has not damaged the skewers in any way.

Durability
So far I have not broken, bent, or in any way damaged these skewers. I cannot say that of any other skewer I have owned because most of those I end up bending somehow. The reason why it doesn’t bend is because of the V design. This design provides a great deal of support.

Problems
The only problem I have is the skewers can be a little hard to grab and turn. This is because the top of the skewer is fairly small and not easy to get a hold of. It is also metal so grabbing it with you hand is a bad idea. When I grab it with tongs I usually grab the food itself.

The Accessory
Kristline has a platform they use for these skewers. It holds 6 of them at a time and they all rotate together. I haven’t bought it but it does seem like a neat idea if you don’t like to rotate them by hand.

Weight and dimensions
Weight: 0.72 ounce
Total Length: 12.5 inches
Length of head: 2 inches

Summary
These are your average small stainless steel skewers. They are well made, very durable, and easy to use. They are definitely my favorite skewers in my collection and the ones I always go to first when cooking.
