My Krups blender has served me well. I received this blender as a wedding gift, almost four years ago. I also received several other blenders of various brands, and after reading the information on each blender, I chose to keep the Krups Power X Plus 239. It was a wise decision.
I have had great results with this blender. I have used it to crush ice, powder oatmeal for baking, blend fruits and vegetables, and a number of other tasks. I have not found a food that this blender could not blend. With fourteen different power levels, I have easily been able to use the appropriate amount of power for each food.
My favorite feature of this blender is the power burst button. I use this button quite often when I am blending. The power burst gives the extra burst to ensure that the food is just at the texture you are striving for.
I also like the ice crusher button. I use this feature when making shakes or other frozen drinks. The ice crusher chews the ice cubes up into chunks of ice perfectly for drinks. It makes a lot of noise, so you cannot be sneaky about it, but it gets the job done.
The glass jar is a little heavy, especially after it is full, but it is very durable. I have not had any problems with the jar, the lid, or the blade. The jar has measurements on the outside in liters, ounces, and cups, which I find very helpful. I have had some trouble pouring from the jar, but I am learning to manage that.
I do think the cord on this blender is somewhat short. It is two and a half feet long (30 inches). This is really not long enough in my opinion. I do not have very many electrical outlets in my kitchen, so I usually have to clear a spot for the blender in an awkward place. I think that an additional 12 inches of cord would be very helpful.
Overall, I am very happy with this blender. It has worked very well in all situations that I have used it. I am very glad that I chose to keep the Krups blender and take the others back. It has served me well.
