Cons: Very messy.
The Bottom Line: Avoid this machine unless you like small cold cups of espresso, with a messy cleanup afterward.

I had been using a small Krups espresso maker for a few years and felt it was time for a larger more convenient unit.
When I decided on the Krups Espremio FNP1, I liked that it had a water tank so that I wouldn't have to fill it every day. I also liked the image of the foamy crema in the stainless steel cup shown on the package cover.
I was quite disappointed when I opened the package to find that there was no stainless steel cup included with the Espremio. The fact that it was shown only in the photo, and not included was not noted anywhere on the package or in the literature.
Though the package indicated that the unit is ideal for one cup of espresso, it also did not say that it will not make more than one cup of espresso at a time. If you like a double, or would like to make two cups for yourself and someone else, that is another story.
After you brew the one small cup, barely a demitass, you have to clean up a huge mess of water and very wet coffee grounds before you can brew the next cup. The coffee holder will hold only one small scoop of grinds, and as the water runs through it, it gets cold because the holder is a large piece of aluminum, and the water itself does not seem to get very hot.
The service representative suggested that the unit might be faulty if it does not get hot and I should return the machine. However, the steam gets hot enough to make some foam for cappuccino.
After brewing the small cold cup of espresso, the clean up was a mess. There was always a large amount of water left in the grounds, so when you remove the holder, water mixed with the used grounds would go all over the place.
After a week of this clean up, cold espresso, no way of making a double, I just gave up,
I returned the unit and went back to my old reliable machine.
