The newly released Krups KM8105 seemed to be a promising direction given that I was returning a Krups coffee maker to Bed Bath and Beyond which was less than one year old and had already worn out.
The KM8105 was noticibly very heavy and most of the in stock handles on the cardboard container boxes had broken as a consequence. This begins to hint of the need for Krupps to make more careful production design decisions with their future products.
The exterior materials quality of this Krupps product is almost immediately evident with the rock solid slide out filter drawer.
The huge digital clock display is awesome and glows a cool blue to boot!
Good enough so far. 
The removable acrylic water tank may be useful to some but I think it is highly suseptable to breakage if dropped. I would have preferred a forward viewing water cup level gauge but this particular model only has an external water cup level gauge on the rear of the machine superimposed on the removable acrylic water tank. Since I use a Brita portable water pitcher to fill the water tank directly the water cup level design of this machine is clumsy at best and approaches uselessness.      
 Fast forwarding to my primary issue with this product is that the caraffe is highly prone to spilling out large amounts of coffee as you pour. The problem intensifies as you approach the last 2-3 cups until you are either cleaning up your kitchen counter or not pouring the coffee. The spout design, although aesthetically pleasing is terrible!
I have not yet decided if I am going to keep this machine and live with spilling coffee or return it for a better conceptualized product.
