LOCK ON! (Reply to this comment)
by Missoula
Your right, I agree that its a great lock. I use one myself. But in Missoula, many of the bikes you see at the University of Montana are not worth the effort to steal so they won't go anywhere even if they are not locked up.

True.
Honestly, I didn't want to sounds too babbly, but I find more locks locked to a rack and the front wheel than just the lock alone. You do have a point though.
One of these days I'll redo this sucker and get all my reviews up to HR, but for now I'll leave it.
Thanks for the comment.

It's important (Reply to this comment)

to keep a biked locked when unattended.
This is a nice review on this lock.
One thing, when you wrote: "I have found many locks attached to racks with no bike, which usually means the bike was stolen due to the cyclist improperly securing the bike to the rack."
What you are probably seeing is not the vestiges of a rash of stolen bikes but what is really a lot of locks left on the racks on purpose. As you said, these babies are heavy to carry around so many folks leave locks at their destination so they can simply lock a bike there. I used to have up to three locks left at sites: my two work places and my gym. Didn't need one at home as the bike went inside with me.
take it easy,
