Pros:soft, absorbent, well worth the cost, prevent those minor potty training accidents
Cons:sizing is a bit small, order the next size bigger
The Bottom Line: Kushies Pull On Training Pants have been well worth the initial investment and great to use during naptime for the early potty training toddler.
Our toilet training days began about 4 years ago when our oldest daughter was about 2 years old. I bought several pairs of the Gerber training pants at Walmart and although they were good during the daytime, they did not provide enough absorbency during naptimes. I tired very easily of changing the sheets at naptime. I found Kushies Pull-on Training Pants while doing some online searching. I bought 2 pair of printed Kushies Pull-on Training Pants for about $8 each (remember almost 4 years ago, I would guess the prices have gone up a bit).

The Kushies Pull-on Training Pants are made of 100% cotton flannel with a waterproof outer covering. The Kushies.com website states that the covering is vinyl coated polyester. I can tell by the touch that they are "plastic" covered, yet they are very soft and pliable. The training pants have elastic waist and leg holes. They are very soft and absorbent holding accidents very well. We did not have a choice of what prints we received, but the 2 we did get are very appropriate for boys and girls. One is a fishy design and the other is zoo animals--all the colors are light blue, yellow, and greens. They also have plain white available.
We are now working on our 3rd child to potty train. The Kushies Pull-on Training Pants did not work well for our son, who is a big boy with chubby thighs. I used them many times for both of our girls and even though they are now stained, they are still in very usable condition. I will be keeping these around for baby #4!
My only complaint has been the sizing. I bought 2 pair of smalls, which the website says is for 23-28 lb. Our daughters have both been very petite and weigh about 21 lb at the time of potty training. These pants fit them well at the 21 lb mark, but I cannot imagine they would fit a toddler weighing closer to 28 lb. The medium size pants are for 29-33 lb. If I were to order these again, I would err on the side of caution and order the next size bigger. Our youngest is wearing them now, and the elastic is not tight now, but I would imagine it to be much too tight very soon.
I have washed them in warm/hot water and lay them out to air dry. They have held their softness and shape very well.
I have trusted Kushies brand with diaper and training pants, they have been well worth the initial investment. For more info and where to purchase, check out their website www.Kushies.com.
