Pros: Bionicle/Bohrok goodness with nice big buzzsaws on each hand
Cons: Inanimate; thus unable to hurt my enemies
Just when I thought I couldn't like the Bohrok more, I find my new love - thy name be Kohrak. Despite a cheerful mesh of light, peaceful colors, our little white'n'blue friend here isn't a friend at all - he's a furious killer, a monster able to tear down the biggest forests, saw through the mightiest enemies, and destroy the biggest cities!! My new friend here encaptures everything that I like about Lego's action figure toy set, the Bohrok, and adds to the evil spirit in the growing Bionicle toy line.
As mentioned in my previous Bohrok epinion (here: http://www.epinions.com/content_66952531588), the Bohrok are the latest in the Bionicle line, a wonderful melding of lego and action figures. Previously we had the Toa, the heroes of the line which were basically robots based on various elements. Unfortunately, they were without a decent Bionicle enemy to fight until these new guys arrived. Something in between an alien, an insect and a robot, the Bohrok move in large killer swarms destroying things. That's my kind of killer swarm. Each is based on an element, like the Toa. With that intro out of the way, lets talk about Kohrak.
Like all of the Bohrok, Kohrak has his nice bulbous head with two arms and two legs extending from his lower midsection. His arms and legs have two ball-joints at each end, making him kinda posable for what is, essentially, a ball with arms and legs. Kohrak, being the Bohrok of Ice, has one of the nicest color schemes of the Bohrok, with peaceful whites and blues, concealing the fact that he's really not peaceful at all and would probably rip the heads off puppies.
By the way, did you know that penguins are friendly? It appears that penguins form groups to warm each other, and they all cuddle into each other to keep warm. Well, obviously all the penguins on the outside of the group are colder than the ones on the inside. To make up for this, the cheery little fellas circulate who is on the outside and who is on the inside so they can all keep warm. Isn't that cute?
Anyway, where other Bohrok have some kick-@$$ weapons, such as Tahnok's twin flame throwers and Nuhvok's hammer shields (which, in my opinion, is pretty lame - make them twin mini-jackhammers instead), our boy Kohrak has some big nasty buzzsaws - one on each arm - which are pretty scary to say the least. They intimidate my figures! After I have a few hits and before I get the munchies, my Spawn figures start complaining about how my two Kohrak's bully them around and make them do unspeakable things. Then my cat flies around the ceiling and demands socks.
Like the other Bohrok, Kohrak has his wikkid-evil headbutt action, that smacks his opponent in the face/body/legs with the push of a leverish button on his back, as well as his ability to fire out his Krana, the little demon-parasite-brain that controls him. Out of the eight possible Krana I could have got, I got a Yo with this guy, which is quite coincidental. Also, Kohrak rolls into his little ball to make both a neat little Bohrok-cocoon to hang from his tube, as well as to perform a violent roll attack. Sweet! Tell me your other toys can still do all this for under $10.
What it comes down to is that Kohrak is a toy you must buy, and you must by many of. He desires a large swarm, for they will control you. That's right, Kohrak is your leader now. He owns you. You will do his bidding. For if you do not, punishment will come into place. You have been warned.
