The Kohrak consider themselves invincible, and are dismissive of danger. They will carry on working until they have no choice but to react, with no regard for their own safety. However, they have one weakness: they always confront one on one, rather than as a unified force, forcing them to rely on their formidable individual skills.

Once again I started my collection with ice. I wasn't too sure about these Bohrok figures at first, but I (heh) warmed to them quickly. The early descriptions I'd read weren't too enticing: a cross between a chicken and one of the creatures from Aliens? Bleah.
But for eight dollars, I figured Kohrak was worth a shot, and am I ever glad I gave this figure a chance! By the time I finished putting all the pieces together, he had become one of my favorites.
Like the Toa, each of the Bohrok are built from all the same pieces--the only difference is color and the weapon/shields that are their hands. Kohrak is all white and gray, with light translucent blue eyes. His hands are wicked-looking buzzsaws (perfect for cutting through ice to cause avalanches or for an attack on the other figures directly), and his krana is light blue (see the center of his head in the picture above). Hunched over as he is, he stands about 4" tall. Balljointed shoulders, wrists, hips and ankles mean that you can achieve a nice variety of poses, from lying in ambush to grappling with one of the Toa.
Part of the fun of the Bionicle line is collecting masks, and while the Toa gained new powers from their masks, Bohrok also receive their job, name and status in the hive from theirs. My Kohrak originally came packaged with the Vu surveyor mask, which gives the ability to fly for short distances and thus made him Kohrak Vu. I've since swapped that one out, and now have Kohrak Ja, a scout with radar abilities. Whew! Did you get all that?
One of the best features of these new Bohrok is the way you store them; be sure not to throw the packaging out, because it's important. Kohrak can tuck in his arms and legs, roll into a ball, and be hung from the top of his pod. There he waits, hibernating, ready to burst forth and strike! When you're done playing, there's no need to disassemble the figure, so there's less chance of losing pieces in the carpet, only to find them with your foot one dark evening.
With a winning combination of playability, price, and design, Kohrak is a great toy to have. Plus, he's the ice Bohrok, which automatically makes him the coolest (no pun intended) and highly recommended.
