One weekend with a house full of guests and a fridge filled with food my old fridge broke- and I can now say it was worth it because we chose this LG as a replacement and we are delighted with it-
I chose this model because it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing-
The french doors allow for easy loading and easy access to what is in the fridge
Both the fridge and freezer compartments are very spacious- you will be surprised by how much you can fit in here
the shelves are adjustable to allow for different heights and they roll out so they are easy to wipe clean
The shelves on the doors are also adjustable- this allows you to keep tall bottles on the doors- I also find the door shelves are deep so you can keep large round containers/bottles there as well
I have small kids at home and they tend to fingerprint everything so I was concerned before buying this but I have to say I am not disappointed because the surface wipes clean very easily as well
it has the feature that beeps when the fridge is left open- it can be annoying when you are loading the fridge with your groceries but I guess it is better than having the food spoil if the fridge door is not closed properly-
There is a switch that allows you to disable the lights and beeping sound but if you do turn this feature off I recommend you check carefully that the door is closed properly because the doors don't suction closed automatically like some other fridges
I find the unit to be generally quiet although it will make a brief humming sound at times
I have not connected the ice cube maker so I do not know if it functions well-
one thing to keep in mind if you have young kids like me- it is very easy to open the freezer so disguise the ice cream because it will be fairly easy for them to access it all
