We bought the LG lrfc25750 refrigerator from Best Buy in November of 2004. It was a special order, as the only carried Titanium in stock, and we wanted Stainless Steel. After a small delivery issue, (the unit was to be delivered 15 days from order date, but did'n't arrive for 22 days)which Best Buy Compensated us for, the unit was installed. After half a year of use, we couldn't be happier. The interior is spacious enough for large party trays. and I was able to keep 2 large turkeys in the freezer drawer! We entertain a lot. so, keeping wine on hand is a must for us. So when I don't have an appetizer tray in the large full width drawer, 6 or more bottles of wine reside there.
I do have some dislikes, however, about the frig. when the icecube tray dumps, and starts to refill, it gets very loud, like a valve opening and high pressure water coming out. Sometimes this can get annoying. I also wish the icemaker drawer came out when you open the freezer, it would have made getting ice a lot more convienent. This unit needs a water filter. and you can only get a water filter in the new unit with water in the door. The stainless steel Looks amazing, very high quality. but it does scratch easily. Fortunatly we don't have children or large pets, so this is a minor issue. The biggest issue with the unit was the mail in rebates. they took 6 months to arrive!! unacceptable in my book, but at least they did arrive.
Overall an excellent value, We had a service technican come and check out the ice maker noise. he suggested closing the shut-off valve a bit, this didn't help any, this has been the only service related call to date. If you entertain, or do a lot of fresh food cooking, this unit will serve you well. It was a bit more expensive than other 25cuft units, mainly side by sides. but I think it was well worth the cost.
