Pros: EZ Set-up, TV-Guide. Crisp clear images. Numerous inputs, outputs and features.
Cons: Fan motor noise when off. Lack of a "glow" for the remote control.
I saw this on the shelf and was impressed by the clarity and image. It was an "open box" special that I couldn't refuse. The impressive array of features make this one of the most versatile HDTVs I've seen. Rear Connectors: 2-S-Video; 2-Component; 2-Composite; 1-DVI; 1-HDMI; 3-RCA Audio; 2-RF; 1-D-Sub (RGB PC); 1- RS-232C and 1-Mini Jack. Memory Card Slots for CF-I, CF-II; Microdrive; Memory Stick; Memory Stick Pro; MMC Card; SD Card; SM and xD. It also has a cable TV card slot. The PIP utilizes both the ATSC & NTSC tuners which allows you to view HDTV and SD simultaneously.
The TV-Guide when activated is the opening screen when the set is turned on. A quick view of the day's OTA and cable program schedules.
Minor annoyances are moderate fan noise that never shuts off and the lack of glow remote. Noise from the fan is not noticeable while watching TV; however, it could be annoying in a bedroom. The display is crisp and clear. When the video settings are set to have the image automatically adjusted to the broadcast settings, a 4 x 3 480i broadcast image displays much smaller and needs to be zoomed.
