| wenke1's Full Review: LG VX10000 (8 GB) Cell Phone |
Recently it was time to upgrade our two year agreement with Verizon and I had seen alot about the new LG Voyager and the LG Dare. They both and been promoted as similiar to the Apple IPhone and I just knew that one of these phones was for me. So now came the research. One of the best features I noticed between the Dare and the Voyager was the Voyager opened up and offered a FULL Keypad, this was a HUGE plus to me as I am horrible text messanger and this might help to improve how fast I am. Plus it offered the big screen on the front of the phone plus when you opened up the phone to the keypad it also featured another big screen. Another big plus. The size of the phone itself can be best described as candy bar size, it is sleek and smooth and can fit into your pocket very easily. Another nice feature is since the front of the phone is touch screen it automatically locks the screen until you touch it, which is nice so that your phone is not dialing people while it is in your pocket. On the front of the phone is a touch activated screen, one of the nicest features and what I noticed first is when you touch a key it also has a small vibration, which let’s you know the phone reconizes what you are pressing which was a nice feature. The large screen on the front and inside of the phone is very large with a pixel size of 400×200 pixels which makes it wonderful for taking pictures or watching the Verizon TV package.
An integrated 2 megapixel camera offers instant capture of favorite moments, both in still and video formats. The mp3 player capabilities let music boom through dual speakers, which performed well for me. The phone takes a microSD card up to 8 MB so there’s plenty of room for storage. There’s a Bluetooth connection which easily connected to my headset without problem.
One of the features I was not so happy with was the speakerphone, to activate the speakerphone you have to have the keyboard function open to use the speakerphone this does not come in handy if you are driving. This proved not to be a big distraction to me as I will be using my bluetooth, but if you do not want to purchase a bluetooth this may be deal breaker for you. Average price of this phone is $199.99
