Very helpful info. Bitpim, the open-source program for downloading photos and contact info, was great to learn about. Over 1 million downloads of it so far, the site says.
I would much rather use an open-source program than pay $29.95 to the telco.
For those who can't find the site, the correct URL is bitpim.org and not .com.
