Let me start by saying that I'm not a techie, so my review is mostly based on looks, performance and usability.
Looks:
I bought the red (berry?) version of this phone because at the time I bought it this was the most "girly" color available. I like the slide-to-open feature (there must be a technical term for this), and the wheel on the front looked iPod-ish, so I thought it was pretty trendy. The lights on the wheel light up too, which was pretty cool. I liked that the four functions on the front of the phone do not have buttons and are touch sensitive.
Functionality:
All my calls have been clear and crisp with this phone. I also have a bluetooth compatible headset which always connects easily without any problems.
This phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera built in, which I didn't really care to use at first since the pictures were so tiny on the phone. Then I discovered that I can upload pictures to the Verizon website and email them to people, so lately I've been using the camera more and more.
Some tools I use a lot are the calendar (for my morning alarm clock) and the calculator (shopping, restaurant tips, etc.). I have these tools setup as shortcuts on the wheel, so I can access them in a split second.
Usability:
For a gadget-nincompoop like me, this phone is very easy to use. The menu (Verizon SW) is very user friendly, and I am able to store oodles of contacts and calendar events. I text a lot and the keys are just right for my texting fingers.
Using the speaker phone is easy, and also locking/unlocking the phone is simple (I have a child so this is very important).
The touch sensitive functions that I mentioned above are a bit tricky to use. Sometimes when I'm on the phone I don't realize that I'm on mute after accidentally touching these buttons.
Performance
I must mention that my husband has the same exact phone (in blue) except he has a Micro SD card in his. We can see a big difference in performance, especially when accessing stored data such as contacts or pictures. He's upgraded to the latest firmware, but it is still noticeable.
Summary:
After having this phone for 7 months, it is in great shape and aside from normal wear and tear (some scratches on the face from my clumsiness) it's a durable phone that's also affordable.
