| tocthecat's Full Review: LG VX8550 Cell Phone |
My wife and I got these phones recently. They are very attractive, have a decent camera, and can function as a Ipod like music player. However the touch buttons are way too sensitive even when set to lowest sensitivity. Also they are too close to the scroll wheel. I would often open my contacts or cancel the music player by accidentally bumping the touch keys. Also the voice command key on the side is too easy to turn on. And I never knew if the phone was going to be in speaker mode, the button is one of the touch keys, but there's no indication on the screen. The 0-9 keys for dialing are so small you end up hitting the wrong key often. The phones collect fingerprints easily and look crappy after half a day of playing with them. We returned the phones after a few days - I would like to have thrown the stupid thing up against a wall just for the satisfaction of seeing it smashed into tiny bits. I got a Juke and while it has many less features, it works much better.
