When we decided to replace our old, inefficient washer, I looked over many reviews for washers, particularly high efficiency ones, and none looked really great. I decided the LG 3.5 cf washer was the best for the price. We purchased it several months ago.We're very happy with our purchase. The LG is easy to use and very quiet. When we are in the kitchen directly above it, we cannot hear it running. Some reviewers had problems with this, but not us. It is well leveled and does not budge an inch. The LG washer gets clothes really clean; if a shirt has a food stain, I add a drop of dish detergent, scrub lightly and stick it in with a load. The stain is gone! It is larger than our old washer so we can combine loads. Our water bill has gone down 12% +. Our utility bill is also lower because the clothes come out practically dry, they spin so fast, so dryer time is also reduced.. there are many options for washing, including a cycle just for towels! We bought the extended warranty just in case but it's great so far.You DO have to be sure to use the HE detergent and wipe the seal around the opening but that is no big deal. Also, the wash cycle is longer than you might be used to if you have a conventional top-loading washing machine.
