Pros: works well when it works
Cons: has a MAJOR design flaw that the LG engineers can't figure out how to fix
This unit is a replacement for a unit I bought two years ago. The problem with that unit is that at the end of the drying cycle, the machine would get stuck at the 6 minute point, then would begin the wash cycle again! After about 6 module replacements that never fixed the problem, LG decided to give me a new unit. That took another 6 months of continually calling and being told they didn't have the paperwork, and then once they did, that it was in the works. Once we got the new unit, we found that the NEW unit did the same thing. So we've gone back to replacing the modules while the great minds in Korea try to figure out why the unit still keeps getting stuck at 6 minutes. Now the repairman tells me that LG will buy the unit back from us, but not at the price we paid for it. DON'T BUY FROM LG. Their washer/dryer combos have this design flaw they can't fix. This is not an isolated incident. The repairman says he has been doing this constantly since this washer/dryer combo came out. It's a good machine when it works, but having to watch it for the 4 hours it takes to do a load makes it pointless to get a machine that you're supposed to be able to load and walk away from.
