Easy to use, QWERTY keyboard rules!

Pros: QWERTY keyboard for easy texting, simple menu choices and plenty of extras
Cons: Outer screen scratches easily, and it is a little chunky
The Bottom Line: If compactness is not important, and you want a Qwerty keyboard, this is a great phone. It is set up logically and is easy to use.

I love my green LG enV VX990 Cell Phone. I chose this phone primarily for the QWERTY keyboard. Unlike most texters, I type two handed just like a keyboard. When it is folded open the camera lens creates an uneven base so I glued a metal flower on one side to balance it so I could type without it rocking.
For low tech users, like me, this phone is easy to figure out. It has a clear contact lists, speed dialing, straight forward menus, cool little 2.0 Megapixel camera for stills and video. I see tons of other features I may never need but they don’t get in the way of the basics.
As with most phones now, you can email, text, play games, listen to music and even surf the net. Of course many of these carry add on fees and Verizon doesn’t make it clear what’s costing you what. I had them block the download feature so we wouldn’t inadvertently buy stuff like music, ringtones, games etc.
This phone is bigger and thicker than many other phones, but I don’t mind that. It’s easy to find buried in my purse and the keys are big enough to see, even in low light.
We switched from SunCom to Verizon this year for better coverage, and more reliable service. It only costs a bit more a month and it is worth it not having to worry about roaming charges. The fidelity of the service is also superior to SunCom. In calling, calls to other Verizon users, is unlimited so we've not had to worry about running over our minutes. Keeping track is easy by typing #MIN for instant current usage data.
