Great Rod for a Low Price

I purchased a Quest rod for saltwater striper fishing. I went for the 9’ 8 weight with the fighting butt. The rod took some time to get used to, but after a long day of fishing I could throw a heavy 450 super head line a country mile! I had a chance to really test the rod when I hooked up a 38” striper in a fast moving tide. What a fight! The rod performed well throughout the battle. The low cost combined with L.L. Bean’s excellent warrantee and customer service make this a perfect rod for this type of fishing. I will be going into my third season with this rod, after two seasons of tough use the rod is in perfect shape. I would recommend this rod to anyone, novice too professional.
