While there are a few other products in the LUSH catalog that share similar ingredients to the seasonal LUSH Candy Cane Bubble Bar, there's only one vanilla product with the exact same scent profile. Snow Fairy Shower Gel has musk. The Think Pink Bath Bomb has lavender, tonka and neroli. Creamy Candy Bubble Bar has almond oil as does the Creamy Candy Bath Melt. Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar and Twinkle Bath Bomb both have lavender. The only match is Rock Star Soap.

Personally, I found Rock Star to be a little too sweet, like bubble gum, with its heavy dose of vanilla absolute. I expected the same from the Candy Cane Bubble Bar.

In fact, when I opened my Box 'O LUSH, all I smelled was the overwhelming scent of bubble gum. This did not bode well. But, I was willing to give it a try - especially when my youngest daughter was begging for a "Mommy Bath with Bubbles!"

This bubble bar looks like a big, thick, bright pink and white swirled peppermint stick. There's no glitter or anything stuck inside the bubble bar. While it turned the water a very light pink, there was no scum left behind nor did it stain the tub a funky hard-to-clean color.

The scent that alarmed me so much in the box quickly dissipated in the tub. I could still smell the bubble gum from the other half of the bubble bar, sitting on the edge of the tub but nothing from the bath itself. Ordinarily, I complain about it when scents seem to evaporate but the Candy Cane Bubble Bar has an overwhelming scent in the box so I considered this a plus. After the bath, I did have a slightly sweet scent to my skin but nothing that would cause headaches.

My daughter simply loved playing in the mounds of thick, fluffy white bubbles from this solid format bubble bath. She kept taking her duck and hiding it under the bubbles saying "Where's the duck?" and she'd act so surprised every time I "found" it. Because she had so much fun, I let her spend a good 45 minutes in the tub and I've never seen anyone, even with years of experience on swimming teams, look so pruney! Neither of us experienced any dryness or irritation from the use of this product and I found it to be somewhat moisturizing.

As you can probably tell from its name, the LUSH Candy Cane Bubble Bar is a seasonal product only available during the "holiday season". If you like LUSH Rock Star, grab a few of these now or wait until next year which is always iffy because LUSH is known not to bring back products, even if they are popular.
