katopasna's Full Review: LUSH Cosmetics Squeaky Green Solid Shampoo
It is such a shame that there isnt a picture of the Lush Solid shampoo called Squeaky Green because I am pretty sure your first thought would be of mint.
While buying up a stash at Lush I was introduced to their solid shampoos. They had about 9 different round bars of shampoo and I didnt think I would be able to get any because of my dandruff problem but wouldnt you know they had 2 different solids for those of us with flakes. I chose Squeaky Green mostly because the other bar just stank to high heaven. It would have been like washing my hair in a burn pit.
The Squeaky Green shampoo has a very mild scent and I honestly couldnt tell you what it really smells like. It just smells clean. The bar is green with brown looking twig things and more brown specks. I thought this was just a surface look but after using it off an on for almost 2 months I have found that the whole bar is actually made up of this stuff. It kind of reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream with some chocolate jimmies mixed in.
For those of you who have never tried solid shampoo you will be amazed at how little effort it takes to get a full-blown lather going. I just wet my hair down and swipe at the top of my head a couple times and I am lathered up like a shampoo commercial. I never expected that and I am very pleased to say it works great on my dandruff. I think my head is getting used to Head and Shoulders so for about 2 weeks I switched to the Squeaky Green on a daily basis and never had a problem.
I think Lush did a great job on this solid shampoo. My hair literally feels squeaky clean. I dont condition my hair when I use this and I noticed no difference from using the 2-in-1 head and shoulders. Keep in mind my hair is shoulder length so I dont have long locks to deal with either.
As mentioned earlier I have had this for almost 2 months and I alternate with it regularly and I still have a half a bar left. I usually take it out of the shower and pat it dry and leave it on a washcloth to air out. The few times I left it inside the shower in a Lush tin it did dry out but stuck to the bottom of it and just didnt look as good even when the tin was drained out.
I would definitely recommend this and it travels great. I plan on taking a Lush solid shampoo with me whenever I go on a trip. It was defintely worth the $7.95 I paid for it.
