Im sure you've got a lot of questions about EAS L-Glutamine. This review is targeted for those looking to add a little extra to their dietary regiment. EAS L-Glutamine contains the "conditionally non-essential" amino acid L-Glutamine. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue and can play a key roll in muscles development. If you enjoy heavy resistive weight training then you might want to consider adding EAS L-Glutamine in your diet. I am not one of those Personal Trainers that comes down on natural supplements that will enhance your body. Research suggest that glutamine supplementation in your diet has been shown to prevent the loss of body mass through the positive roll glutamine plays in protein synthesis and its action as an anabolic agent.
Why I started using EAS L-Glutamine
I started using EAS L-Glutamine primarily because of my low carb diet. Since my carbohydrates are depleted, the EAS L-Glutamine exerts positive effects on my total amount of body fat loss as well as help retain my lean body mass. It also kicks in when I engage in heavy weight training putting the glutamine I lost while my body was under stress, back into my body. EAS only has 1 ingredient and that's L-Glutamine.
How does it taste?
One of my biggest pet peeves with any supplement is taste. Fortunately, EAS L-Glutamine lives up to its marketed statement, "It is tasteless, and odorless". The white powder quickly dissolves quickly in water disintegrating quickly before your eyes. When I'm feeling hardcore I drink it with water, but most of the time I add it to my a.m. protein drink. Although I prefer EAS L-Glutamine with water, it can be mixed with your favorite juice as long as it is consumed immediately.
Does it work?
Of course it works! And it is easy to use simply following the directions and take one scoop (5g) or one teaspoon immediately after your workout. EAS further recommends that you consume 1-2 additional scoops throughout the day with meals and/or before bed. Although EAS suggested plan is good, I prefer taking my scoop with my protein shake in the morning. My hectic schedule does not allow me the luxury of whipping up a drink in the middle of the day. When I lift at "O dark 30", I'm not as sore as I use to be when I did not use EAS L-Glutamine. I feel like it improves my overall performance and helps me recover faster. I'm not trying to look like the Incredible Hulk, but I do plan on taking my shirt off when I'm at the pool. In addition, evidence suggests it provides benefit during catabolic stress when intracellular glutamine levels drop naturally supplementing the entire body.
Do you need EAS L-Glutamine in your diet?
That depends, since Glutamine is considered a "conditionally non-essential" body building block you've got to look at your individual fitness needs. If you are running low on L-Glutamine and need to obtain extra from an outside source, then EAS L-Glutamine is for you. If you are on the South Beach or Atkins Diet, I highly recommend this during the initial phase of the diet when you are restricting carbohydrates.
Bottom line, although you don't get results overnight, EAS offers a quality supplement for anyone who needs L-Glutamine. The 750 Mg bottle should last for 2 to 3 months depending upon your intake level, which makes it an affordable supplement. Since the price varies, my recommendation is that you shop around for the best deal. Experience the EAS difference for yourself.
