During the transit strike in 2005 the hotel nor the franchise group would work with guests to resolve charge issues. I tried to suggest that we move back my reservation several weeks at an increased rate. They were willing to take the reservation but still wanted to charge me the fee. Calls to Apple Core cooperate office did not resolve this issue. Finally I had to dispute the charge with Visa. Well this is a classic example of penny wise and dollar foolish. I travel to NYC 4 times per year for a week at a time. We now have placed this hotel and the other hotels in this franchise group on our black list. Other hotels in this group (Comfort Inn Midtown, Ramada Inn Eastside, Red Roof Inn Manhattan and Super 8 Hotel Times Square)
On the upside if you dont like poor customer service and have no issues during your stay they are very close to Penn Station and have a great view of the Empire State Building....(if you lay down and look strait up)
