For months now I have seen reviews and displays for Lancôme Photogenic and wanted to try this wonderful makeup but didn’t.
I have dry skin and this wasn’t meant for that. Now Lancôme has listened to their customers and brought out a line of this product for people with dry skin problems because dry skin can become irritated so very easily if you don’t use the correct formulation.
During the last gift with purchase from Lancôme the girl behind the counter brought out the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 and asked me if I wanted to try it.
Lancôme keeps a card on each of their customers so they have quick reference as to what kind of makeup and other products of theirs that you prefer. She knew that I had wanted to try the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 but there wasn’t a formula for my skin type at that time.
Now there is and I highly recommend this to anyone with dry skin.
Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 is a medium to heavy coverage makeup but can be controlled to go on even lighter if you prefer just by using less and blending more.
The Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 comes packaged in a silver box with the Lancôme signature rose on the front.
Inside the box you will find an oval bottle containing one fluid ounce of the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 with the signature Lancôme rose in gold. The cap is black with a gold top.
You really can not mistake Lancôme product for any other product on the market.
The Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 is a thick makeup that at times is hard to get out of the glass bottle but it is well worth the wait.
I purchased ultra buff 02 for my skin tone. The price is about $33.oo. I know that looks expensive but it does last for a very long time.
The directions recommend shaking well before use in order to keep the product mixed and for ease of use.
I do not find that the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 separates in the bottle and stays mixed even if you forget to shake.

This makeup does live up to its claims.
When applying the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 I prefer to use a makeup sponge, I feel I get a smoother coverage than when using my fingers. Another note is you are not contaminating the product by using your hands.
The Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 has a SPF which makes me happy as I use a medication that makes my skin very sensitive to the sun and it will burn easily.
After using the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 I dust my face with the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC Loose Powder. That final step leaves you skin with a flawless matte finish that so many other makeup lines miss the mark with.
The Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 leaves you skin feeling comforted and soothed and not dried out like a prune.
Even if you fall asleep at night without removing your makeup, you do not wakeup with dried out skin that takes days to repair. This seems to work well even when sleeping. It is not recommended to sleep with it on but on occasion I have found myself doing this.
There is a slight perfume scent to the Lancôme PHOTÔGENIC ULTRA COMFORT Skin-Illuminating Makeup SPF 15 which surprisingly has not irritated my skin at all. The scent is subtle and will not clash with your favorite perfume and it does go away in a few minutes.
The surgical scrubs I wear daily are purple and I have found that when slipping the top over my head I don’t have the dreaded makeup smear in it. This product does stay put but is easily cleaned off by your daily cleaning ritual.
I used to be such a big fan of Estee Lauder but now that I have discovered Lancôme I am a died in the wool fan of their. I have not found Clinique or Estee Lauder to equal the quality of this makeup.
Lancôme markets several other low end cosmetics like L’Oreal and Jane. While these are good cosmetics they can not hold a candle to the actual Lancôme line.
If you are unsure about purchasing anything from Lancôme the consultant will give you a generous sample to try before you even buy. Not all companies will do this for you. You buy, if you don’t like you try to take back. What a hassle.
There are quite a few colors to choose from in this new line of makeup.
Ultra Ivoire 1 (C), Ultra Ivoire 2 (C), Ultra Buff 2 (W), Ultra Buff 4 (C), Ultra Buff 5 (C), Ultra Bisque 0 (W), Ultra Bisque 2 (C), Ultra Bisque 4 (W), Ultra Bisque 6 (W), Ultra Bisque 9 (W).
For those that want the ingredients I am sorry, I can not read what is on the box. The print is entirely too small and the writing is black on a shiny silver box.
Anyone with dry skin that wants to feel good about themselves would be well served by this product.
