Pros: Natural Looking, Loooonnng Lashes
Cons: Not enough thickening...not enough drama
I hate to be a party pooper. Everyone seems to love Lancome's Definicil's mascara more than me. It is a good mascara mind you, but for $19.50 at the Lancome counter near you, there are better ones out there. That said....if you are looking for a natural lengthening effect, you may well be on that loves this product. I prefer a dramatic almost false eyelash look and did not get that with this product.
I have pretty average lashes as far as thickness, darkness and length goes. They are okay...but need some help. In my opinion this is the type of mascara you wear to the gym or the beach. the type you wear when you want to look like you don't have any on. It darkens just fine and actually does quite a good job at lengthening and separating each lash. In my attempt to make my lashes look thicker, several coats were which only resulted in unattractive clumping. This product performs best when swept on in a single coat before heading out to the grocery store.
For those who favor a more dramatic look, I still prefer Loreal's Lash Architect (and a bargain at under $8!!!) or the dreamy $24 Yves St Laurent mascara. It is honestly like putting on an extra set of lashes that never flake and come in the most lovely golden tube.
At any rate, Lancome's Definicil's mascara has it's place...just not in my makeup drawer.
