I have stated in the past that I have tried just about every brand of makeup out there and Lancome is no exception. Lancome products have been a long time favorite of mine. I always get suckered into buying these products whenever they offer a promotion. Lancome seems to offer them about every month or so. I therefore, have a very large makeup collection.!
I have tried many of their products. I have tried several different formulas of their foundations. I tend to have combination skin, but I always buy oil-free foundations. Other brands that are oil-free seem to fade off my skin halfway thru the day, but not Lancome. I can wear this foundation for all of my eight-hour work day. I apply my foundation around 8:00 in the morning and by 5:00 it still looks good. This is a big plus in my book. I am not who likes to re-apply makeup during the day, so whatever I put on in the morning is what stays with me the rest of the day.
They offer many different colors to choose from. I always need to change my colors from winter to summer. I have light skin, but in the summer I get somewhat darker, so I usually get help from the salesperson. They are always very friendly and willing to help. It can be hard picking just the right color. They will try it on your skin to match you up. I have in the past gotten home and had the wrong color(sometimes it looks better inside). I took it back and had no problem exchanging the colors.
Another good thing about this foundation is that it does not cake up. It goes on very smooth and makes your pores look smaller, which is another plus for me. I have tried other foundations that really don't do anything for your complexion, but I can say that this foundation really has improved my complexion. I do not have many problems with breakouts, but every once in a while I need a little extra help.
There is not too much I can say bad about this product, except that it is more expensive than a lot of the other brands. I paid around $35.00 for this product(with tax). However, I did receive a great bonus gift for buying it, so it was not so bad. Lancome does offer great bonuses. I have been able to try many new products that I normally would not think of buying. I have also found many great new colors that I also would not have thought of buying.
So, next time you are in the market to buy some new foundation; give Lancome a try. If you don't need an oil-free formula, they have several other formulas. I have tried about 3 different ones, but Maquicontrole is my personal choice. It has really done wonders for my skin in the past.
