I have owned the Landice L7 Pro Trainer for over a month now and I am glad I spent the money to buy this premium machine. I have been a runner for a number of years, but laid off of running over the last two years. I had rarely run on a treadmill before and initially thought about buying a less expensive machine. After a couple of weeks of shopping and researching on the internet I chose the Landice.
Initially I was looking at a lower end Trimline and a mid priced Pacemaster. Both good machines in their price points. When it came down to the decision, I thought I would spend a little more and get the Landice. I found I could get an entry level Precor for the same price and I would have to spend more to get a comparable model in the True. I liked the lifetime warranty and the way the Landice was made over the other machines. It is built like a tank. It has a 3hp motor, aluminum frame, huge rollers, and weighs 300 pounds.
I pressed hard for the best price. One dealer wanted $2695 and the dealer I purchased from sold it for $2495. My dealer told me that Landice would not allow him to sell it for a lower price, but he did include delivery, setup, a floormat, and a heart monitor to sweeten the deal.
Over the past month I have been averaging 15 to 20 miles a week. It has a very stable ride and the cushioning is great. Normally for me to run this mileage outdoors, I would be feeling some twinges in the legs and knees. None with this machine. I regularly use the programs and features of the control panel and have found them easy to use. Running on a treadmill has made me more accountable and I feel I am in better shape now than I would be trying to train outdoors. Plus it has been a real treat to run indoors while the weather has been wet and cold. Even my wife is walking regularly on it and the kids have used to stay in condition for field hockey.
If you plan to really use a treadmill regularly, the Landice is a great machine for a runner or walker. I am glad I spent the extra money to get the Landice as I should be satisfied with its performance for years to come.
