The Bottom Line: I recognize that I got somewhat of a lemon. I also realize that when it DOES work, is is a very comfortable machine.

After doing much research in preparation for a treadmill purchase, it became obvious that the Landice line of treadmills held much promise.
I just took delivery of a Landice L7 Executive trainer (yesterday, 4/23)and it appears that the promise has been broken. After the treadmill was delivered and
set up, the first attempt to power it up after the technician departed was in vain. Nothing worked -- no belt movement, no response from the incline motor--
no display -- NOTHING.
The technician came out this morning (4/24) at 8:30 am and determined that the ribbon cable that makes the connection to the upper circuit board was not making good electrical contact. He reseated it and after his departure,
everything performed normally,FOR 45 MINUTES.
Again, NOTHING works. The technician has called Landice and apparently Landice is sending out an entirely new circuit board -- another 3 day delay before I can use my shiny new $4200 treadmill. (Actually probably more like 5 days since the weekend is coming up -- I assume parts delivery will be via UPS, hence no weekend deliveries.)
Please understand that my complaint IS NOT with the technician at all. He has been prompt and understanding .I REALLY DO have a problem with Landice's quality
control department. This is something they should have uncovered during in-house testing. They actually do perform in-house pre-shipment testing, right?
Frankly, I expected much better from Landice. All my pre-purchase research indicated that this was the Mercedes-Benz of treadmills. I guess as the old saying goes "There's a rotten apple in every barrel".
I was just hoping to get one of the "good apples".
