I purchased the Do-It-All Diaper Bag on line, while I was on bedrest during my pregnancy. I decided to buy it because it came so highly recommended by a variety of sources, including the "parents picks" message board on AOL.
First the good stuff. It has two bottle pockets on the outside, a zippered case for toiletry items, two roomy zippered compartments and a bag for isolating the consequences of those unexpected biological event(hey - just trying to be delicate here folks!). It has two handles for carrying in your hand and a long, wide shoulder strap if you prefer to do the pack-mule thing. This bag is so well-equipped it even comes with a plastic hook for your keys, in case you decide to forego the handbag. [I envy those streamlined types who carry so little in their purses that they can do this. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.]
Now the problems. This bag is very bulky to carry, especially on your shoulder. You might say "don't carry it on your shoulder, Einstein." But if you have kids, you know how important it is to have as many hands as possible free (somehow there are never enough!), so I have to carry the bag on my shoulder. The other thing is, I'd prefer one large zippered pocket rather than two. This would allow me the option of carrying larger items if necessary.
Recently I flew with my toddler and took a knapsack instead of a diaper bag. I couldn't help wishing I'd bought a knapsack to begin with. In fact, I'm thinking of getting the Lands End knapsack diaper bag now. Live and learn.
The best thing about Lands End merchandise, at least in my experience, is that it's indestructible. So if you make a mistake, sell it on eBay, through consignment, garage sale or elsewhere.
