Point taken, but I still could not give a recommendation on the amp or a higher ratings, because, despite the fact that my friend's amp worked fine, there were way too many cases where the amps were failing, and this has ocurred for a long time. I've followed this issue on many car audio forums, and it had been a reoccurring problem.

Maybe it's just the way I think, but I find it unfair that you reduce your rating of this amp because of problems other people had with it.
Your review should reflect your experiences, not other peoples', so if you like the one you worked with and it performed well, rate it as so.
Perhaps Lanzar had a bad batch of amplifiers at one point. It seems the you always hear about the bad cases and never about the good ones. My 1200D is performing flawlessly.
