I don't know about you, but I hate being cold. My office stays freezing 12 months out of the year. There seems to be no way that the air conditioning can be adjusted, it just runs no matter what time of year it is. It can be 39 degrees out and it will still run. The highest the temperature gets is a balmy 58 degrees. Needless to say, the patients and the workers are freezing once they walk inside and that makes it hard to work.

I have one heater that I have been using and that is the Holmes Products HFH111-U Compact Heater. This is a great little heater and I have had no problems with it. I just wanted something that would heat a larger area than under my desk. That is when my husband came home with the Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater.
The Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater stands 34 inches tall and approximately 12 inches wide. The heater fits nicely into the corner of a room and looks good standing there, also. One great thing is the Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater comes with a remote control. That makes it so easy to use. I have my heater sitting on the other side of my desk and it makes it hard for me to get up, go out of my cube, walk around to the other side of the building so that I can get into the cube from the patient side and adjust the heat or turn it off.
The Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater has a uniform heat distribution because it oscillates the air, and the air isn't concentrating on one area, but all over. You get an even heat distribution, not just on your feet or face. This process makes for a comfortable atmosphere.
There is a seven hour timer on the heater. Something I haven't used much of. There is a lot of times I am in my office for just an hour and usually that is what I have it set for. It does cut off when your hour is up. When I go back in, I just click the remote and out comes that wonderful warmth. It doesn't take but a few seconds to warm up. You aren't stuck with a blast of cold air when it starts up.
When using, you will notice that this heater can be used to measure temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius, it will tell you what the room temperature is. You can set the air temperature for your own personal comfort and the Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater will cut off when it reaches that temperature. This can be done directly from the heater or the remote. You can choose to have the heater oscillate or not, depending on your personal preference.
The heater can heat a small room nicely, but for larger rooms, I would suggest getting two. My husband paid about $43.00 for the Lasko 34" Tower Ceramic Heater, I find that economical for what you get with this heater. We have used it in our house when it wasn't feasible to turn on the large central unit and found that our electric bill did not rise. I think next winter we will have several of these just in the rooms that we use and give up the high heating costs.
Just beware, the outside of the unit can become very warm and possibly burn tender skin. I haven't had a problem with that, but young children and older adults may. Just use caution, like you would with any heater and you shouldn't have any problems and enjoy years of quality heat.
