elleche's Full Review: Lasko 754200 Ceramic Electric Compact Heater
I purchased my Lasko heater in October 2008 and am very glad that I did. I found the amount of heat coming through the system in my apartment to be quite weak. I am in the northeast, where we had a significantly cold (and snowy) winter this year and this little heater sure took the chill off. This is a very handy appliance to supplement your heating in a home or apartment, or could also be used at the workplace. I enjoy the fact that it takes up very little room and is light, thus you can move it around to the place you need it most. I also am happy to see there are two power settings, in the event that you are using the heater with an older electrical system, you can stay on the lower setting of "1". If you are able to use the higher power setting, you will find "2" does an excellent job of cranking out a comfortable amount of heat and in fairly good time. It is recommended that you do not leave this heater plugged in and in use when unattended. I have safely used this heater at night while sleeping. However, when leaving the house, I unplug the heater just to be safe. It is very likely sufficient to ensure you have shut the power off on the heater before leaving the house. This is critical to remove the risk of a fire which similar appliances have been written up about in the news. I highly recommend this model if you are in need of a small electrical heater. It can also be used as a fan, so it's usefulness extends beyond the winter. I hope to make use of it as a fan in the coming months. All in all, it is a great value for the price and will provide you with excellent supplemental heat and work as a fan in the warmer months.
