| honnybrown's Full Review: Le Creuset 5-Piece Essential Set M05185 |
I saw a beautiful set at Williams-Sonoma that I was going to purchase. It was a 12 piece set on sale for $900. I mentioned that to a friend and she recommended that I go to the Le Creuset Outlet at The Citadel in Commerce, which is on my way home from work.
Dania and I were the only two in the store. She asked if she could help me with anything, I told her I wanted the Williams Sonoma set.
Dania said "OK, but the only problem is you won't pay as much money."
Also, the more you buy from the outlet, the more you save.
The "second choice" items I purchased were perfect outside of a little nick or scratch here or there.
On 3 trips, the last being last night, I spent almost $900 total and I got items that I actually use, unlike the set at Williams Sonoma. My collection consists of the following:
2.25 quart Buffet Casserole
2.25 quart Saucier
2.75 quart Precision Pour
1.25 quart Precision Pour
3.5 quart French Oven Round
10" Iron Handled Skillet
Skinny Grill
Square Roaster
Lasagna Pan
All in Cobalt Blue, and I actually look forward to using everything. There is nothing else I can buy.
I told Dania that if I walked in that store in under 30 days to call the police and tell them I had a gun.
My second trip, Donna, a big wig within the company, was at the store to do inventory. I found out Dania wasn't working until later so I told Donna that I was updating my cheap crap to good cookware. Donna dropped everything and walked me around the store, describing in detail the purpose, function and benefit of every single item. By the time we got to the knives (a little more than halfway through the store) I almost had a meltdown. I remembered what it was like to be a kid in a candy store, only this time I had a $20 bill. She looked at what I bought previously, made several recommendations for that day and the next visit.
The stores are a LOT of fun to visit, the products are functional and colorful.
