Pros: Perfect for my 1 year olds attention span. Teaches colors, matching & animal facts.
Cons: Your volume choices are either loud or louder. Pieces are easily hidden/thrown away.
The Bottom Line: Two Thumbs Up! This is not only a fun toy, but there is oodles of education they can learn while playing with the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set.

| basilisk06's Full Review: LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set |
My son received the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set for his 1st birthday and he loves it. It keeps him busy while I'm doing dishes, cooking dinner or doing laundry. I like the fact that I can bring it with me and attach it on the dishwasher, fridge or washer & dryer or anywhere there is a safe metal surface (even my front door!). It is appropriate for my 1 year old's attention span and enjoyment while teaching him different animals, animal sounds, animal facts and colors.
Your main toy is a magnetic red barn with an area to attach two of the animal magnets to create an animal (or any concoction therein). You have a total of 10 magnets that will complete 5 animals: a Purple Cow, Blue Sheep, Pink Pig, Yellow Duck and "Orange" Horse...or let your imagination go wild! When the child puts two magnets on the base to create any combination of animal, it will sing a silly song. But when you match two of the same pieces to complete an actual animal, it rewards the child for finding the pair and also tells the child an educational fact about the animal. You'll also find a button on the top of the barn that is Farmer Tad with a banjo that plays music. It has an on/off slider switch in the shape of a mouse's head with two volume levels to choose from. There is also a easy grip handle to make mobility quite easy for a child or adult.
The only negatives that I've run across is that my 1 year old son has already lost (or throw away) several magnets...but for a small fee, LeapFrog will replace them for you. It is also really loud...even on the lowest setting. And the toy says the horse is Orange instead of Brown (but it's painted brown, not orange). It looks Brown to me...and to my 3 year old as well (who corrects it every time).
