Pros: Educational. Nice tones. High/Low volume. Leap Frog brand.
Cons: Not sure about all 26 letters on the 'frig. Song gets 'stuck' in your head.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this toy as your child will learn while playing.

| junegem13's Full Review: Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Set |
I purchased this for my son (now 14 months old). It hangs on the 'frig and he knows how to put the letters in to make the sounds and he knows how to make it play the ABC song. He also likes to turn the switch on and off. We only have the A B C out right now, soon to add another letter or so.
The letters are in nice primary colors. This will also add to the educational value-- as I can say "Where is the RED A, BLUE B, YELLOW C...." The letters are all in capital letters.
The letters go into the base so that my son can hear the sound they make, while the unit sings a cute, catchy little song. We can also use the letters as stand alone letters and learn spelling, making this a toy that will be useful for years to come. He should not outgrow it for a LONG time.
My son enjoys the music. I find him pushing the button to play the ABC song and doing his cute little dance to the music.
The magnets have a good magnet base. They are strong enough to stay on the refrigerator but easy enough for my son to remove them and play with them. On occasion my son does carry them off to other areas of the house and then I go on a search and find mission... gotta teach him that the letters need to stay in the refrigerator area before we get all 26 letters out!
My son is not really speaking yet, but I'm pretty sure that sometimes I can hear him making the letter sounds with the song! He will be able to sing his ABC's before he can talk! The whole family starts joining in on the song too!
The shape of the letters are foot friendly. Meaning that if one happens to be on the floor and I step on it, it does not cause the pain that those dang sharp edged blocks do!
I decided on this product after reading other reviews about it and the Leap Frog brand. I have not been disappointed in any of their products that I have purchased/received, nor has my son.
