| stonecold's Full Review: Leap Frog My First LeapPad |
My oldest child received this as a Christmas gift and it is great. Before Christmas, in the store we would always have to stop and play with it. Now we have one at home.
The leap pad comes with one book that has the ABC's and numbers, and other activities. The books have two sides an activity side and a reading side. You can buy new books for it. The books run about $19.99. Sometimes you can find them for about $14.99. But they make good gifts for people to get the kids for birthday presents. You use the pen to point to items on the book and it will tell you what they are.
A favorite book at our house is Winnie the Pooh where you match the opposities. An empty pail to a full pail, an empty muffin pan to a full muffin pan. These books teach so much, color, shapes, numbers, letters, opposites, reading skills. It is really amazing how much one toy can do.
