Learn HTML In a Weekend (3rd Edition) covers HTML 4.01 and was written by Steve Callihan. Divided into easy sections and very simple to read wording, this really makes the non-programmer able to compose a website. The book comes with a CDROM that contains trial software of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 6, Macromedia Fireworks 3, Dreamweaver 3, Adobe Photoshop 5.5, Premiere 5, and Flash4.
A feature to this book that I found very interesting was the sections on HTML quick reference guides, the XHTML/XML (Extensible HyperText Markup Language/ Extensible Markup Language) compatibility guide, and about cascading style sheets.

Saturday Afternoon -- Dressing up your Pages

I found the Tables, Frames, and Forms sections to be the most relevant to me in my writing. I can incorporate this into my profile once I have completed the book. I was really psyched to find a book that explains HTML so well and so simply to me. I think if you are a beginner this is one of the best books on the market to get.
