| nern78's Full Review: Legal Sea Foods Cafe and Oyster Bar |
Our first night in Boston we were tired, we wanted to eat and we didn't want to travel far or have to think too hard about where we should go. So, our choice was Legal Seafoods, it was just a block from our hotel and we had been told it had decent food and we wouldn't be disappointed.
We didn't have to wait to be seated, we were eating fairly early for dinner. The waitress ran through the menu, we asked what her reccommendations were and she promptly ran through the five most expensive things on the menu. We ordered some calimari for an appetizer (they have it 2 ways, one with a Thai peanut sauce and one with lemon and pepperoncini's) we went with the lemon. I ordered a seafood casserole type dish with a sherry garlic sauce, my husband had his standby fish and chips-- he is a fanatic about fish and chips. We also went with one of their wine flights, we each for four 2 oz pours of different white wines, it was actually a very nice selection.
Our food came, it was great, we ordered a dessert which was just fantastic- chocolate melting cake with hazelnut ice cream.
Overall this was a nice easy meal. We knew we would get good seafood and we didn't have to go far.
