1.8" drives are VERY slow. I remember it from my old ThinkPad X41, which was otherwise a great machine, but had very poor disk performance.

Great work Lawman. I feel the same way you feel -- but about HP's business tablets :)
...which I admit are not as great as Lenovo's, but they are the ecosystem (extended batteries, docking stations) that I've bought into. The one thing I wish they didn't use were 1.8" zif drives though.
