and couldn't agree with you more..I visited their gravesites in France and it was so touching and sad...they are buried side by side with thick ivy covering them both......

A beautiful review about the letters of a beautiful artist. Van Gogh has sort of been an enigma to me. He was crazy, sure. I always wondered why. His paintings are just breathtaking. Reading these letters might crack open a mystery. Thanks for reviewing it, good job.

But there is another book about Vincent Van Gogh that I enjoyed, Lust for life, there is a review by me somewhere on this site.
But imagine my luck, I went to Amsterdam and came back without going to Vincent Van Gogh museum. Actually did not have any time, but still, silly silly me.
From your review this book seems to be a must read.
