We received this Libbey Bravura Margarita Set as a gift from a friend to coordinate with our Libbey Swerve Martini Glasses. The set includes 4 16 and 3/4 ounce margarita glasses and a 90 ounce pitcher. Shawn also picked up more matching margarita glasses at some time, so the glasses can be purchased separately as well.
The margarita glasses, just as our martini glasses, feature cobalt blue curved stems with an ordinary bowl. It gives a nice, stylish look to an otherwise ordinary glass. The pitcher ties in nicely with its cobalt blue handle.
We really don't drink a whole lot but when we have people over we do like to make margaritas. I find it to be a nice and simple drink to serve and guests love these glasses.
The glasses are not very heavy but they have proven durable. This was shown when I dropped one of them on the kitchen floor. Guess I had one too many. But the pitcher has a heavier feel to it, and with the regular use I give it, it has been durable as well.
The pitcher is not only great when serving margaritas, but for other drinks too. It's large and has a contoured guard to keep ice from flowing out while pouring. The glasses are kept on our bar, but I keep this pitcher in my kitchen because it gets a lot of use - especially for iced tea which we drink a lot of.
The glasses and pitcher are dishwasher safe, though very easy to hand wash. The glasses can be a little awkward to hold and maneuver so I tend to be a bit over cautious when washing them and have not had any problems.
This set sells around $25 and is pretty good for the money. If you are looking for something of a higher quality the Libbey Bravura Margarita Set might not be for you, but for something basic this is great. It looks nice and will get the job done - so long as you haven't lost that shaker of salt!
