Pros: Unique and stylish.
Cons: Not the greatest durability.
The Bottom Line: The Libbey Swerve Martini Glasses look nice, but I would probably opt for something of higher quality.

| brandi_jean's Full Review: Libbey Swerve Set Of 4 Martini Glasses |
Cobalt blue is the color of our dishes, so whenever we see neat looking cobalt blue things we usually get them. This was no exception we we ran across the Libbey Swerve Martini Glasses about two years ago.
The glasses come in sets of 4; we purchased 3 sets since they were on sale. The normal price is around $10 - $15. Each martini glass holds 6 and 3/4 ounces. As I said we were initially attracted to the cobalt blue stems of these glasses, but what really sold us is the stylish look. The stems are slightly curved instead of being straight. They look unique while still being affordable.
Shawn and I are not big drinkers, but we do like to drink on occasion, though martinis are not very common for us. Our thinking process was along the lines of well, we might be entertaining and have a need for martini glasses one day. To be truthful we have not really done a lot of entertaining - mostly because our old apartment was tiny. But we have had casual evenings with friends over to make use of these neat looking glasses.
They are a bit awkward to hold, especially if you had one to many martinis. They are rather light as well. I always have the fear of breaking one any time I handle them. We have yet to have a causality, but I don't think these would win a durability award. Once over the fear of breakage, hand washing the glasses is easy. Warm soapy water is enough though they are dishwasher safe.
All in all I could do without martini glasses. They do not got a whole lot of use from us but they do like nice hanging on our bar. A friend of ours found margarita glasses that match these and gave us some as a gift. Those get a little more use around here, but really we tend to use highball and old fashion glasses more than anything. If I ever got to the point of doing a lot of entertaining and had more of a need for martini glasses I would probably replace these with something else.
If you are looking for martini glasses for occasional use that are reasonably priced and look nice, the Libbey Swerve Set should do just fine. But if you want some that will be used more often or high end quality, then I suggest looking for something else.
