Just one correction - the x5i has a weight maximum fo 350 pounds, the machine itself only weights 250.

you're way better about keeping up with workouts than i am....so, much respect due to you. funny how you can go from running 30 miles a week to zero so easily...
btw, that sounds like an awesome machine. i like stats and numbers and all that, so it must be nice to know your pace, heart rate, and all that while running.

Well gee ... It sounded almost as if you were writing about me and my weight gain that just does not want to drop off after my second child was born. (Of course, my daughter is almost eight now!);)
Good luck! This sounds like a great piece of equipment. Now, if only I was motivated to work-out! :)

keep on riding. Actually this looks like an interesting elliptical. Great review. I wish my gym would get in some new stuff. If you ever want to pick the part of my brain that is a personal trainer, feel free to write. jo

you svelte thing!
Okay, I'm raising my hand! My husband and I have owned four pieces of exercise equipment that were converted into coat racks, and eventually sold through the classified section.
Sounds like Life Fitness X5i Cross-Trainer is a fantastic piece of machinery!
Super review and happy training!

350 pounds????? (Reply to this comment)
by Freak369
WOW!!! That is heavy for a piece of home equipment. When you look at what a gym membership would cost [300 - 400 a year] plus transit time, day care fees and gas - it's easier to work out at home - especially when you have younger kids. I'll take you up on that offer and email you every week or so :]
Good luck and have fun with it!
