Well, I had been eyeing the Light Up Baby Ball for a while and I thought my son would enjoy the flashing lights and character sounds while I showed him how to roll the ball back and forth. At first he took to it and had fun pressing the big buttons that were on the ball with the kitten, puppy, bunny, bear, and mommy and daddy characters but after he had heard all the sounds and played all the songs, he kind of just left the ball alone and went about his business. I was pretty disappointed that my son did not like his new toy because I think it's pretty cool. Hopefully he'll like it when he's a little older. I still recommend this ball to parents because it teaches animal sounds and plays a great variety of melodies and even teaches baby to say hello and bye-bye. Incidentally, my husband purchased a regular old soccer ball for my son and he can't get enough of it! Go figure!
