As I have said many times before, I am a HUGE V-Tech fan. I have about 15 of their infant toys. My daughter loves all of them, and this one was no exception. The Light-Up Baby Ball holds her interest and encourages learning at the same time.
I purchased the Light-Up Baby Ball about a month ago. My daughter has most of the V-Tech toys for younger infants, and we wanted to invest in some of their products for older infants. We ran across this ball on sale at Walmart and knew we had to have it.
This is an electronic toy for infants. The ball is brightly colored in reds, blues, yellows and purples. Colors help stimulate learning in children. On various locaions on the ball, there are pictures of both people and animals. Stars are scattered on the ball. These stars will blink with color when the ball in turned on. The top of the ball offers the option of music or voice. When the music option is chosen 6 different melodies of music are played. The voice option offers words that match the pictures on the ball such as "mother" and "father" It is a happy voice of a woman.
Not only is the ball great for teaching animals, people, and colors but it is helping my daughter to crawl. While playing with it, it has the tendency to roll away from her, she will attempt to go retrieve it. The colors seem to really fascinate my daughter and the music always puts a smile on her face.
There is a volume control switch for parents(which is great when your child has alot of "noise making" toys). This ball wipes off easily to clean and is very durable..our dog has taken a liking to it as well. Once again, V-Tech is a hit in our home!
