| sidney1's Full Review: Light-Up Baby Ball |
My son received one of these balls for Christmas, although it looks different from the one pictured. His ball is white, not yellow, and the surface is hard plastic, not soft at all. The title reads, "Bright Lights Baby Ball." It features a volume control and a music or talk setting. It consists of three different activity "sides." Six different light up buttons are found on the ball: Picture of Mother and Father, Picture of Bunny and Teddy Bear, and Picture of Cat and Dog. It plays the typical V-Tech Toy songs such as "Twinkle Twinkle" and each button says the typical sayings, such as "Hello Baby" and "Bye-Bye." I am a fan of V-Tech toys, as most of the V-Tech toys my children have acquired (whether purchased by me or given as gifts) have been very entertaining and educational. However, this toy hasn't been given much of a second glance by my 9 month old son. He's rolled it around a few times, but is much more fond of his balls that don't light up or do anything other than roll or bounce. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying this for their child, unless the child gets a chance to take it on a "test run" first.
