My boy got this for a present on his 1 yr old b-day. He's 2 now and he still plays with it. There is not many toys that keep his interest and this one does. My son plays with it often you can set it to music mode or talking mode. He used to like the music more when he was younger but he likes listening to the talking now. He can play with this toy for up to an hour. He also tries to repeat some of the words they say on there. My son is slow at speech and this toy is actually helping him along.
I've brought the ball in the car with me on long trips and it has kept him occupied.
It does have a drawback though, it is pretty heavy. Not so heavy that my son can't launch it across the room though. I have to be very careful after he gets disinterested in it because then he thinks it's a regular ball and throws it. Trust me it hurts. It has held up well despite the fact it has been thrown. As long as you keep a watch on your children when playing with it, i think it's a really good toy.
