it does not get congealed worse (Reply to this comment)

I like this product because it does not get thicker as the temperatures drop. If it is 14 degrees here this stuff still hydrates and protects without that yucky waxy feeling. Thank you and have a very happy holiday !

Nice review! The Lip treatment is probably better than the regular ointment. I tried the regular ointment once and got some into my mouth. It made me very sick to my stomach.
I'll have to try the Lip treatment soon.
Thanks for sharing your opinion in this nicely written review.
My best,
Carol

I should check this out (Reply to this comment)

I recently relocated from Perth, Western Australia (with a climate similar to Southern California) to Las Vegas. If I spend any length of time outdoors my lips soon feel like a dry cracking lakebed.
I have been impressed with regular Neosporin (we didnt get it in Australia that I am aware of), which does a good job looking after me at those times when I "touch the iron to see if it is hot enough yet" :)
Nice to see you still plugging away from Epinions. I am currently going through my list of people I trust, and Im pleased to see how many have become category leads. Guess I had good judgement.

by pokey72
Boy am I glad that Neosporin has come out with this lip as I call it repair.
My husband is always going through Carmex, and Blistex. This will be another added choice. We love there products, so this will be an added plus.
Thank you for you review

Hi Carrie :) I never have cold sores so I can't really answer that but knowing how amazing it is on my cracked and bleeding lips, I can imagine that it would probably work well for him! Good luck!

Cold Sores? (Reply to this comment)
by lilsquibb
Have you had to use it on cold sores or anything? My husband has EXTREMELY sensitive lips and is prone to break outs, though he hasn't had one in a while. When he does get chapped lips we've only found Burts Bees to work so far. Blistex only makes it worse. This was a nice review.. I didn't know this stuff was out there. We'll have to try it. I tend to really like neosporin.

I hated this stuff - it made my lips SO much worse than they were before I started using it. I am glad it worked for you - but it totally backfired on me :(
