Pros:Quick, Tasty, Low calories
Cons:Sodium content, Box only contains 2 pouches
The Bottom Line: Lipton Noodle Soup is a classic to me and much better than canned soup. Delicious broth and tender noodles make this soup a treat.
When I was younger my mother would make me Lipton Noodle Soups and add extra ingredients like peas to make it heartier. It was quick, easy, and delicious. As I got older and had my own home and family I continued to purchase the soups.

There are four types of Lipton Noodle Soups:
Chicken Noodle, Extra Noodle, Noodle Soup, Ring-O-Noodle
My favorite and the one I am reviewing is Ring-O-Noodle.
The box is 4.9 oz. (139g) and contains 2 pouches. Each pouch is approximately 1 cup prepared or 4 tbsp.

Although the Lipton Noodle Soup is not the healthiest for you it definitely is a quick meal. The calories are not what makes it bad though it is the salt. That amount of salt is in each serving. However, our bodies do need salt and eating a serving of this soup is 29% of the daily value we should intake. The only problem with this is the serving size is small (only 2 tbsp). I am eating more than 2 tbsp. so therefore the salt content is going up.
Another ingredient found that is supposedly unhealthy is the Monosodium Glutamate. You find this is most Chinese food. Well after doing some research and being prepared to discuss that it was in fact bad for you, I came across information on a website that you too may find interesting and settle some misconceptions about this additive.
This soup is great to go with a sandwich, grilled cheese, or peanut butter and jelly for a quick lunch. I eat this instead of opening up a can of soup which normally has well over the 700mg of sodium Lipton Noodle Soup has. The pouch makes just enough for 2 adults to split the soup when eating a sandwich with it as well.
The soup itself is very brothy which is great if you have a cold or are not in the mood for a chunky, hearty soup. The rings of noodles generally fall to the bottom so when scooping the soup out you will have to drain some broth out of the ladle in order to get your fair share of rings. In each pouch however there are a lot rings but you might have to search with all that broth. Like I said earlier, my mother use to add a box of peas to this which stretched the soup out even more. Then you have a vegetable noodle soup in no time at all.
The spices in the soup are just enough to give it a nice flavor. 100% of the time the noodles are cooked to perfection. You cannot go wrong with this soup, and the kids love it as well!
I purchase my Lipton Noodle Soups at my supermarket in the soup aisle where they have all the boxed soups and mixes. The price is approximately around $3.00-$4.00 from what I can remember. You can also purchase online at Amazon for $28.50 for a pack of 24 boxes.
Lipton Noodle Soups are manufactured by Unilever. You can actually visit their website and see all of their products at www.unilever.com or you can visit the Lipton Noodle Soups site itself at www.liptonnoodlesoup.com.
